Obstetrical Simulation on a “budget”

One of the things I have learned over the course of years training nurses, residents, and students is… not everything has to be expensive or “high tech”.

Affordable simulation equipment consists of the following:

1. PowerPoints> use to recreate electronic medical records or vitals signs with realistic noises to heighten fidelity

2. Mama Natalie > great tool to use for simulation with an embedded participant. Can be utilized for a variety of scenarios.

3. Escape rooms> can be low budget + add fun to the learning experience as the team works collaboratively to navigate the clues.
